Description

The PowerSite Web development tool has been fully integrated into PowerBuilder 8 as the new Web targets feature. This means that you can now use PowerBuilder to create Web applications in addition to client executable applications and EAServer components. Your Web target contains all the elements required to build a Web site—HTML files, scripts, images, downloaded components—as well as settings for build options, database connections, and deployment.

PowerBuilder Enterprise Web targets are available only in the Enterprise edition of PowerBuilder.

Usage

The Target tab of the New dialog box includes wizards to help you create new Web sites as well as migrate projects developed in PowerSite 7.1 into the new environment. The Web tab includes wizards to create the files you need to develop your Web application or Web site.
