PowerBuilder 7 is object-centric. All the painters that you've used before to create PowerBuilder objects are still there, but now you focus on the objects you are creating rather than the painters you use to create them.
The object-centric development environment is apparent in the New, Inherit, Open, and Preview buttons on the PowerBar:
These buttons get you to the objects you want to work with fast. Since the New, Inherit, and Open options are no longer specific to painters, you can have existing and new objects open and viewable at the same time and easily move from task to task.
