In PowerBuilder, you always work within the context of an application. The first time you start PowerBuilder, you see a dialog box that presents wizards for creating a new application.
The quickest way to create a basic application (a PowerBuilder library containing an Application object) is to use the Application wizard.
You can also use the Template Application wizard to automatically generate the shell of a more complex application or use the Jaguar Component, COM/MTS Component, or Automation Server wizards to create a new application containing one of these component types.
You can also select an existing application using the Browse or Recent tab pages. If you select an application that you built in an earlier version of PowerBuilder, the Migrate Application dialog box opens so you can migrate the application to this version.
